Associate from the Center for Human Genetics and Pharmacogenomics of the UM Faculty of Medicine, dr. Larisa Goričan, together with representatives of Lek, the University of Ljubljana and the Ljubljana University Incubator, attended a meeting with Nobel laureate Sir Paul Nurse, hosted by the Embassy of Slovenia in London. Sir Paul Nurse, a renowned British geneticist, received the Nobel Prize in 2001 in Physiology or Medicine for discovering how cyclins and cyclin-dependent kinases regulate the cell cycle. He is currently the director of the Francis Crick Institute in London, one of the world's leading biomedical research centers.
