Department of Medical Didactics Development – PBL

The Department of Medical Didactics Development – PBL of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Maribor focuses on innovative learning methods and teaching approaches that improve the quality of medical education. The PBL (Problem-Based Learning) method, based on solving real medical problems in groups, enables students to develop critical thinking, teamwork and independent information seeking. The Department develops and implements learning content that promotes active learning and ensures that students acquire both the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to manage complex medical cases. In addition, the Department monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of various teaching methods in medical education and promotes research in medical didactics. The Department plays a key role in shaping advanced educational approaches at the Faculty of Medicine in Maribor.
