In accordance with the Rules on Knowledge Testing and Assessment at UM and its amendments, the list of exam dates for the entire academic year is published by November 15 of the current academic year at the latest.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"bde-columns-3313-111 bde-columns\"><div class=\"bde-column-3313-112 bde-column\">\n  \n  \n\t\n\n\n\n<div class=\"bde-accordion-3313-113 bde-accordion bde-accordion--bordered\"><div class=\"bde-accordion__content-wrapper-3313-114 bde-accordion__content-wrapper\">\n<h3 class=\"bde-accordion__title-tag\">\n  <button type=\"button\" class=\"bde-accordion__button\" id=\"accordion-button-114\" aria-controls=\"accordion-panel-114\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__title\" >PROCEDURE FOR REGISTERING FOR AND DEREGISTERING FROM EXAMS<\/span>\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__icon bde-accordion__icon--default\"><\/span>\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__icon bde-accordion__icon--active\"><\/span>\n  <\/button>\n<\/h3>\n\n<div role=\"region\" class=\"bde-accordion__panel\" id=\"accordion-panel-114\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-button-114\">\n    <div class=\"bde-accordion__panel-content\">\n        <div class=\"bde-rich-text-3313-115 bde-rich-text breakdance-rich-text-styles\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students register for an exam at least 6 days before the exam date.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exam registration is electronic (AIPS), including for exams that have to be paid for.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exam attempts that are subject to a fee (the 4th and subsequent attempts, exams before a committee, exams for persons without student status) are charged in accordance with the UM price list for the current academic year.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The invoice for the exam attempt is issued on the day of the exam and sent to the student by post to their home address.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deregistration from an exam is possible no later than 4 days before the exam date. If you deregister electronically in time, no invoice for the exam is issued.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a student did not take an exam for a justifiable reason and did not deregister in time, the exam is considered to have been deregistered in time, <\/span><b>if within 3 working days after the exam date the student submits appropriate written evidence to the MF UM Academic and Student Affairs Office<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (medical certificate, accident, etc.). The administrative staff decide on the adequacy of the evidence within 3 days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A student who, without a justifiable reason, does not attend the exam on the day set for them, or does not deregister in time, may take the exam only at the second following exam date.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/div><div class=\"bde-accordion__content-wrapper-3313-121 bde-accordion__content-wrapper\">\n<h3 class=\"bde-accordion__title-tag\">\n  <button type=\"button\" class=\"bde-accordion__button\" id=\"accordion-button-121\" aria-controls=\"accordion-panel-121\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__title\" >DATES AND REGISTRATION FOR MIDTERM ASSESSMENTS IN COMPOSITE COURSES<br><\/span>\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__icon bde-accordion__icon--default\"><\/span>\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__icon bde-accordion__icon--active\"><\/span>\n  <\/button>\n<\/h3>\n\n<div role=\"region\" class=\"bde-accordion__panel\" id=\"accordion-panel-121\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-button-121\">\n    <div class=\"bde-accordion__panel-content\">\n        <div class=\"bde-rich-text-3313-122 bde-rich-text breakdance-rich-text-styles\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Registration for individual midterm assessments in the composite courses <\/span><b>Introduction to Medicine<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Environmental Influences and Health<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (for the General Medicine program) and <\/span><b>Introduction to Dental Medicine<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Clinical Medicine 1<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Clinical Medicine 2<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (for the Dental Medicine program) is done electronically via <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/kolokvij.mf.um.si\/povezava.php\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the following link<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The registration deadline<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for a midterm assessment is the same as for exam registration, i.e. <\/span><b>no later than 6 days<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> before the midterm assessment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The deregistration deadline<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for a midterm assessment is <\/span><b>no later than 4 days<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> before the midterm assessment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Registration and deregistration are possible ONLY electronically, via the link above.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When <\/span><b>improving the grade of an individual midterm assessment,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> you must manually submit the <\/span><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/visanje-6.doc\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">registration form<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in accordance with the registration\/deregistration deadlines stated above. The registration form must be submitted to the MF UM Academic and Student Affairs Office (or by email to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:referat.mf@um.si\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">referat.mf@um.si<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) <\/span><b>no later than 6 days before the date of the midterm assessment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 by post or in person at the office during office hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>After passing ALL midterm assessments,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> you must register via the AIPS application <\/span><b>for the scheduled exam date of the umbrella course<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Introduction to Medicine, Environmental Influences and Health, Introduction to Dental Medicine, prescribed study obligations and exams of course units of a higher year once they have completed all obligations of the current year (60 ECTS credits), with the prior consent of the course unit coordinator, if the material and organizational working conditions allow it. At the MF UM Academic and Student Affairs Office, the student obtains a certificate confirming that all obligations to date have been completed. The student delivers the certificate to the course coordinator, who, on the basis of this certificate, can sign the <\/span><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Soglasje-za-opravljanje-izpitov-visjega-letnika.docx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">consent to take on obligations of a higher year<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Before the start of the semester in which the higher-year course is taught, the student delivers the signed consent to the MF UM Academic and Student Affairs Office, where the individual obligation is assigned to them in AIPS.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/div><div class=\"bde-accordion__content-wrapper-3313-199 bde-accordion__content-wrapper\">\n<h3 class=\"bde-accordion__title-tag\">\n  <button type=\"button\" class=\"bde-accordion__button\" id=\"accordion-button-199\" aria-controls=\"accordion-panel-199\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__title\" >GRADE IMPROVEMENT<br><\/span>\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__icon bde-accordion__icon--default\"><\/span>\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__icon bde-accordion__icon--active\"><\/span>\n  <\/button>\n<\/h3>\n\n<div role=\"region\" class=\"bde-accordion__panel\" id=\"accordion-panel-199\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-button-199\">\n    <div class=\"bde-accordion__panel-content\">\n        <div class=\"bde-rich-text-3313-200 bde-rich-text breakdance-rich-text-styles\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In accordance with Article 27 of the Rules on Knowledge Testing and Assessment at UM (UPB1), before completing their studies a student has the right to retake the exam in all course units already passed if they wish to improve the grade in a particular course unit. An individual exam may be retaken once, as an exam before a committee. If the student obtains a lower grade when retaking, the original, i.e. higher, grade stands. To improve a grade, students register using the <\/span><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/visanje-6.doc\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">grade improvement registration form<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which they submit to the MF UM Academic and Student Affairs Office no later than 6 days before the exam date. The deadline for deregistering from the exam is no later than 4 days before the exam. In this case, deregistration from the exam is possible via the AIPS system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After defending the final thesis, or after passing the last exam if the study program ends without a final thesis, a student can no longer retake exams or improve grades in course units already passed, even if they registered for grade improvement before the date of the final thesis defense or the date of the last exam.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/div><div class=\"bde-accordion__content-wrapper-3313-201 bde-accordion__content-wrapper\">\n<h3 class=\"bde-accordion__title-tag\">\n  <button type=\"button\" class=\"bde-accordion__button\" id=\"accordion-button-201\" aria-controls=\"accordion-panel-201\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__title\" >TAKING THE FINAL EXAM<\/span>\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__icon bde-accordion__icon--default\"><\/span>\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__icon bde-accordion__icon--active\"><\/span>\n  <\/button>\n<\/h3>\n\n<div role=\"region\" class=\"bde-accordion__panel\" id=\"accordion-panel-201\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-button-201\">\n    <div class=\"bde-accordion__panel-content\">\n        <div class=\"bde-rich-text-3313-202 bde-rich-text breakdance-rich-text-styles\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By agreement with the coordinator or teacher of the course unit, the last exam of the study program before graduation or before completion of studies may be taken outside the scheduled exam dates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In such a case, the student obtains the relevant certificate on taking the last exam at the MF UM Academic and Student Affairs Office and submits a request for exam registration with the agreed date, on the basis of which the exam registration is arranged.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a student fails the last exam arranged in this way, they must register for a scheduled exam date for the next attempt.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/div><div class=\"bde-accordion__content-wrapper-3313-203 bde-accordion__content-wrapper\">\n<h3 class=\"bde-accordion__title-tag\">\n  <button type=\"button\" class=\"bde-accordion__button\" id=\"accordion-button-203\" aria-controls=\"accordion-panel-203\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__title\" >GRADE IMPROVEMENT AFTER PASSING THE FINAL EXAM OR IMPROVING THE GRADE OF THE FINAL EXAM<br><\/span>\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__icon bde-accordion__icon--default\"><\/span>\n     <span class=\"bde-accordion__icon bde-accordion__icon--active\"><\/span>\n  <\/button>\n<\/h3>\n\n<div role=\"region\" class=\"bde-accordion__panel\" id=\"accordion-panel-203\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-button-203\">\n    <div class=\"bde-accordion__panel-content\">\n        <div class=\"bde-rich-text-3313-204 bde-rich-text breakdance-rich-text-styles\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Article 27 of the Rules on Knowledge Testing and Assessment at the University of Maribor No. A4\/2009-41 AG, concerning grade improvement in individual course units, stipulates that before completing their studies a student has the right to retake the exam in all course units already passed if they wish to improve the grade in a particular course unit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For study programs that end with a thesis, completion of studies means the thesis, whereas for undergraduate study programs that end without a final thesis, studies are completed with the last completed obligation (exam).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A student therefore cannot improve the grade of the last course unit (exam), which is comparable to not being able to improve the grade of the thesis, but may lodge an objection against the grade obtained in the last course unit (exam), in this case, however, immediately or at the latest before the expiry of the deadline set for verifying the data on completion of studies in the official records.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The above also applies when a student wishes to improve the grade in a course unit already passed before the last completed obligation, if they complete the last obligation before the exam date for the course unit in which they wish to improve the grade is announced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students' rights must be equal, regardless of whether they complete their studies with a thesis or with the last completed obligation (exam).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The above also applies if the student registered for grade improvement before completing the last obligation, if the exam date for the improvement falls after the date on which the last obligation was completed.
